Sukasrana: Sukasrana is the younger brother of Bambamg Somantri and also the cousin to the King of Maespati, Arjuna Sasrabahu. He is a good giant, but so ugly all whom see him are terrified. He dedicated his life to his older brother. He is killed by his brother on accident, who feels great sorry by his death.

The wayang has a strong tradition in the world of Java and Indonesia, representing the struggle between good and evil. This rare Wayang Golek puppet is on a base and stands a little over 29". He can be removed from the base and both the head and arms can be moved. It has very finely detailed carvings on the head, with vivid color and detailed paintings. The body is beautifully decorated in sarong. Each Wayang Golek puppet is individually carved, painted and dressed by hand making each unique. They are made for the artists who make the puppets for Asep Sunarya (puppet master) who performs worldwide. These are Indonesia's finest Wayang Golek puppets. A nice piece of art.
